Do I Have the Right to Trim the Branches on a Neighbor’s Tree Growing onto My Property?
As an experienced Media Property Law Attorney, I am often asked about trimming branches on trees from a neighbor. If a tree is growing on your property and some of its branches overhang onto your neighbor’s property, your neighbor actually has the right to trim those branches up to the property line. However, in trimming the branches, your neighbor does not have the right to access your property.
