Answer:
If someone has unfiled tax returns, the best course of action is to file as soon as possible. The penalty for not filing is 5% per month for the amount outstanding, so the sooner those tax returns are filed, the better. On the other hand, you may be due a refund for a tax return that you have not filed. In that case, you’ll need to file within three years of the due date of the return to be able to claim your refund.
